Description: Engraving on wove paper, image 8 ½”h x 10 ¾”w plus generous margins, uncolored. Accomplished in manuscript, with pasted-on embossed seal at lower center, no longer legible. Housed in a period frame with recent acid-free mat and spacers.
Condition: Mild-moderate staining to engraving, some minor chipping to frame

Published: Rouen, France, May 1810
Description: Embroidery in silk thread on cotton, ca. 22”h x 33”w at stitched neat line plus margins (sight). Stitched at some date to a heavy cardboard backing. Housed in an early gilt frame with new glass and spacers. Accompanied by old handwritten label describing provenance and the Winter, 1982 “Gettysburg Sutler” catalog listing the map as item B43.
Condition: Some discoloration, particularly to the central image, and some areas of thread loss.
