September 29-November 9, 2012: The Second War of Independence – The War of 1812 in Maps and Prints
Honoring the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812, Boston Rare Maps and The Old Print Shop will present this thoughtfully curated collection of historic maps, prints and broadsides, many of which are rarely seen in the marketplace. “The Second War of Independence” is free to the public and opens September 29, 2012 at The Old Print Shop, 150 Lexington Avenue, New York City and runs through November 9. Show hours are Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm and Saturday, 9am-4pm. Many items in the exhibition are available for sale, and a full-color catalog is available. Boston Rare Maps will for the first time exhibit at Boston’s premiere event for antiques. The show will be held at the Boston Center for the Arts (Cyclorama) on Friday-Sunday, October 18-21, 2012, with a gala preview on the evening of Thursday, October 18. Proceeds benefit Ellis Memorial, Boston’s first settlement house, which has been caring for children, disabled adults, and families who live and work in the South End and adjacent neighborhoods since 1885.

November 16-18, 2012: Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair
Boston Rare Maps will be exhibiting once again at Boston’s premier antiquarian book, map and print fair. The event will be held Friday-Sunday, November 16-18, 2012 at the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street in Boston. February 2-3, 2013: Miami International Map Fair
The next Miami Map Fair will be held on Saturday-Sunday, February 2-3, 2013 at History Miami, the historical museum of Miami, Florida. This has become the premier antiquarian map event in the world, with more than 50 dealers exhibiting and ancillary events including a Friday evening gala dinner, appraisals, and talks by noted map historians.
